Tiger

Last year Tiger was brought to the attention of Fitzpatrick Referrals with horrific injuries to his hind legs. They were so bad that his owners Ernie and Cynthia didn’t think he’d survive.

Tiger needed surgery to remove one of his hind legs and save the other, which required one of our residents at Fitzpatrick’s, Padraig Egan, to make the long journey to Devon to pick Tiger up so he could undergo surgery.

Many viewers will remember the astonishing moment when during recovery, Tiger’s heart stopped.  Noel had to perform open chest cardiac massage to get his heart beating again.

Against all odds, a week later Tiger was able to walk again!

12 months on and Tiger is back to his old self.  He does everything a normal cat would do. And Ernie and Cynthia are still astounded at the resilience of their beloved cat.
